Jasmine Harman broke down in tears on This Morning as she discussed her mum's struggle with hoarding.The A Place In The Sun presenter, 47, said she “refused to bring people home” and was “really, really embarrassed and ashamed” about her mum Vasoulla’s condition.
Speaking to Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, she said: “In fact, when I started working in television, it was my biggest fear that someone would find out about the way I’d grown up and the way that we lived at the time."Vasoulla revealed that this behaviour started when she was just six years old, and that she now sees a therapist to help with the condition.
This Morning viewers saw Jasmine grow emotional in the interview as she wept while discussing the close bond she shares with her mum.
She said: "What I have learned over the years is that I concentrate more on having a loving relationship with my mum and not focusing on the hoarding."Addressing her mother, she added: “She’s helped me to become a much more compassionate person.
