Key elements of their wishlist were spaces suitable for hosting family and privacy from nosy neighbours, the Mirror reports.Scots property expert Jean lined up five potential homes within their budget of £220,000.
Initially, everything went smoothly, with Sally and Phil attracted to both of the first two properties they visited. But the mood changed when they viewed the last house.Situated on a beautiful nature reserve and surrounded by greenery, this three-bedroom abode priced slightly over £215,000 boasted generous outdoors complete with a barbecue area and swimming pool.
However, in spite of these appealing features, Phil had an issue: its hilltop location.Phil was deterred by the idea of trekking up and down the hill whenever going out or coming back.
