Lucasfilm is preparing to kick off a new Star Wars trilogy with a little help from an X-Men alum!

Five years after Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker premiered and closed out the Skywalker Saga, a new trilogy of movies is in the works.

Some details about what to expect have been revealed. Keep reading to find out more… According to reporting by Variety, the new movies are coming from Simon Kinberg, who will be writing and producing.

X-Men fans will know Simon for his work across the film universe. He wrote 2006′s X-Men: The Last Stand and worked on 2011′s X-Men: First Class, 2014′s X-Men: Days of Future Past, 2016′s X-Men: Apocalypse and 2019′s Dark Phoenix.
