A League of Their Own Amazon series preview debuts ahead of premiere in August

A new trailer for the Amazon reboot of A League of Their Own debuted Tuesday.The trailer is set to the Stevie Nicks classic Edge of Seventeen and features a montage of clips from the forthcoming eight-episode series, based off the All-American professional women's baseball league that emerged during World War II.The series stems from the 1992 film from the late Penny Marshall, which had a cast including Rosie O'Donnell, Geena Davis, Tom Hanks and Madonna.

The show is set in 1943 and based on a different team than the Rockford Peaches, the squad featured in the film 30 years ago.The cast of the forthcoming series stars Abbi Jacobson as Carson Shaw, Chanté Adams as Maxine 'Max' Chapman, Priscilla Delgado as Esti, D'Arcy Carden as Greta, Gbemisola Ikumelo as Clance, Roberta Colindrez as Lupe, Nick Offerman as Dove and Saidah Arrika Ekulona as Toni.
