This is the moment a knifeman stood at the doorway of his victim's home, threatening to take their life. Jacob Gill was caught on camera as he attempted to commit murder last Christmas.

Wearing brown boots, ripped jeans and a fleece, the 34-year-old attacked a man in his 60s. Telling him "I've come to kill you" in the harrowing incident that was captured on mobile phone.

Officers were called to reports of a stabbing in Wheelton, Lancashire at 7.23pm on 23rd December 2023. Emergency services attended and found the victim with stab wounds. Following enquiries, Gill was arrested within an hour of the call to police. After a trial at Preston Crown Court earlier this year, a jury took around four hours to unanimously find Gill guilty of attempted murder.
