Ayrshire and Arran have provoked a backlash from two Conservative MSPs. Across Scotland, the A&E times are at their worst for six years.
Snapshot figures, between the period August 8 to August 15, show that only 78.6 per cent of those presenting at an Ayrshire and Arran A&E were seen within four hours.
That figure is well short of the 95 per cent target.In July, a snapshot of the weekly waiting times figure for Ayrshire and Arran was recorded at 80 per cent.Now two South Scotland Conservative MSPs, Brian Whittle and Sharon Dowey, have urged Heath Secretary Humza Yousaf to adopt their party’s proposed approach to the crisis.The Scottish Conservatives have set out proposals for a £600m fund for a dedicated team of doctors, nurses and others.
