Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Hulu’s TV adaptation of Sarah J. Maas’s wildly popular romantasy book series “A Court of Thorns and Roses” is officially scrapped.

Produced by Disney’s 20th Television, the project has been in the development stage at Hulu (also a Disney property) since March 2021.

Maas partnered on the “ACOTAR” (as the book series is known to fans) TV scripts alongside “Outlander” creator Ronald D. Moore.

Not many updates have been given on the show since, with both the writers and actors strikes of Summer 2023 putting a pause on almost all scripted production and development.
