EXCLUSIVE: 9-1-1 has had a buzzy start to Season 8. The series wrapped up its three-episode “bee-nado” premiere storyline earlier and, after seven days of cross-platform viewing, the third episode is up to 10.42M total viewers.
That’s 89% higher than the live + same-day audience of 5.52M. The episode has also achieved a 2.01 rating among adults 18-49, marking an impressive 294% increase over L+SD.
This is the best multi-platform delivery the series has managed in terms of total viewers since last season kicked off with the “Poseidon’s Adventure” storyline in March.
Granted, that’s very long, and it’s typical for a series to see a spike in viewership at the beginning of a new season. The real tell will be how 9-1-1 sustains this audience moving forward.
