22, the U.S. Coast Guard reports (via ABC News). Search efforts for the woman are now underway. The woman fell overboard about 17 miles north of Nassau, Bahamas while traveling on the Royal Caribbean ship Allure.
The Royal Bahamas Defense Force is leading the search with assistance from the U.S. Coast Guard. “Our crew immediately launched a search and rescue effort and is working with local authorities,” a Royal Caribbean spokesperson told ABC News. “We are also providing support and assistance to the guest’s family during this difficult time.
To respect the privacy of our guest’s family, we have no additional details to share.” The Taylor Swift-themed cruise, which was marketed under the title “In My Cruise Era,” set sail on Monday from Miami for the Bahamas.
