After a shock last-minute U-turn, Celtic are set to miss out on the signing of Australian talent Riley McGree. Following a personal appeal from compatriot Ange Postecoglou, the 23-year-old midfielder had agreed on a move to Parkhead.
Now though Middlesbrough have swept in to hijack the deal, with McGree now set to join Chris Wilder's side. The attacking midfielder's decision leaves Celtic looking for an alternative in a position where they need to strengthen.
David Turnbull is sidelined with injury, while Tom Rogic has struggled to consistently stay fit over the past few seasons.
