The piece was originally commissioned from Asprey by the former Princess of Wales in 1996, using an aquamarine gifted to her by friend Lucia Flecha de Lima.This Cartier diamond tennis bracelet—which Diana was pictured wearing on a number of occasions, including at an American Red Cross Gala in Washington in 1997—was first seen on the Duchess during a state dinner in Fiji in 2018.
