Diaz is ending her 11-year break from acting by starring in Netflix’s “Back in Action,” a spy comedy that pairs her with Jamie Foxx.
Diaz’s return alone is enough to ensure “Back in Action” is the buzziest Netflix original of January 2025, but the streamer is also premiering the new “Wallace & Gromit” movie, “Vengeance Most Fowl,” for family audiences looking for a new movie to watch from home this month.
January also sees the arrival of a dark horse Oscar contender. A24’s well-reviewed black comedy “A Different Man” launches on Max after winning the best feature prize at the Gotham Awards and earning Sebastian Stan a Golden Globe nomination for best actor in a motion picture comedy or musical.
