$125M ‘Succession’ mansion destroyed in LA wildfires: ‘Most expensive’ home in the Palisades had 18 beds, rented for $450K per month

Los Angeles wildfires.The 18-bedroom mansion, which featured sweeping views out to the Pacific Ocean, was worth an eye-popping $125 million, per the Daily Mail, who first reported on its incineration.

The megamansion, which is owned by Luminar Technologies boss Austin Russell, 29, was on the market to rent for $450,000 per month when the blaze broke out.

The property was featured on the fourth season of the hit HBO show in “Succession” in 2023, serving as a luxury pad occupied by the fictional Roy siblings.

Russell bought the home in 2021 for $83 million. Prior to the blaze, the house also boasted six bathrooms, a “Nobu-designed chef’s kitchen” and a 20-seater theater.The futuristic four-story mansion additionally had a temperature-controlled wine cellar in the basement, and a retractable roof “for stargazing.” Lush backyard gardens also surrounded a state-of-the-art swimming pool.
