Some 1,000 new jobs in logistics and warehousing jobs are on the way for Cheshire. A planning application has been submitted for a 1,020,000 sq ft warehouse near Crewe.

The 102-acre site, at Radway Green, is owned by Warehouse REIT and is situated close to junction 16 of the M6 motorway. Consent for an 803,000 sq ft logistics scheme was obtained in 2021 but a new application for a further 1 million sq ft is now pending approval.

The new units are expected to attract a mix of wholesale and trade distribution, food and general manufacturing and transport and 3PL companies and online retail distribution firms to locate into the new facility, reports Cheshire Live.
