Zookeeper films moment he's eaten alive by lions after trying to 'impress girlfriend'

A zookeeper tragically lost his life after he filmed himself attempting to recapture three escaped lions "to impress his girlfriend", before the wild animals turned on him.The man, identified as 44 year old F Iriskulov, can be seen in the footage unlocking a padlock to an area at a private zoo, the Lion Park, in Parkent, Uzbekistan during his night shift at 5am.

Initially, the three lions appear calm and simply observe him. However, the situation quickly escalates as they suddenly spring up, causing him to step back in surprise.

Despite this, the predators do not immediately attack.Throughout the video, he can be heard repeatedly calling out to one of the lions, named Simba, saying, 'Simba, be quiet,' reports the Mirror.

It's believed that the lions had managed to escape their enclosure due to an unlocked door and had wandered into a courtyard.This is where the zookeeper attempted to recapture them, leading to the tragic incident.
