nypost.comSaldaña was caught up in a slight mishap after she stormed the stage when “El Mal” from “Emilia Perez” won Best Original Song.As composers Camille Dalmais and Clément Ducol went to accept the award, Saldaña could be seen rushing from her seat toward the stage.She then grabbed the trophy from presenters Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Yeoh to give it to Dalmais and Ducol.
But things didn’t go to plan, as Goldblum awkwardly snatched the trophy back from Saldaña and handed it to the pair.Director Audiard also accepted the award for Best Film Not in the English Language and mentioned Gascón in his speech after he previously condemned her “hateful” social media remarks.
The transgender actress has been facing backlash over her old Twitter posts where she criticized Muslim culture and George Floyd.
