Zoe Ball has been confirmed to be returning to her role on BBC Radio 2, after she left fans concerned for her wellbeing when she pulled out of her recent morning slot.
The star's co-worker Gaby Roslin has shared an update on the presenter following a devastating development in her family as she announced her mum is battling cancer.
Morning Live host Gaby, 59, addressed 53 year old Zoe's state of mind and whether or not she was planning to come back to helm the radio programme.The star clarified that Zoe's priority is to be with her mum when she needs her, so will come back to host as and when she can. "Zoe will be in, but she's just going to take a few days off here and there," the presenter explained to listeners. "Because she wants to be with her beautiful mummy Julia." She then addressed Zoe directly, who she may have known was tuning in from her home. "I'm here, I've got your back Zoe, always have," she said. "Love to Julia as well and to the whole family." The star went on: "Zoe says her mum is being incredibly brave, and she’s in awe of the doctors, the nurses and the support teams.
Love you Zoe." Gaby is no stranger to filling in for Zoe on the breakfast show in school holidays and other various slots, and made sure fans knew that she has her back throughout such a difficult time.
