Popular Radio 2 host Zoe Ball has dramatically quit her Breakfast Show after six years.The star spoke to listeners on Tuesday, 19 November to say she was going to step back to "focus on family." In a statement, the former Strictly It Takes Two and Live & Kicking host said: "After six incredible years on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show, it’s time for me to step away from the very early mornings and focus on family.
It’s been a privilege. I think the world of you listeners and I’m grateful to my bosses here for their support, especially this year.” Zoe had been notably absent from her show earlier this year, leaving both fans and colleagues puzzled about the reason behind her hiatus.The 53 year old presenter, adored by listeners nationwide, went on hiatus with fellow DJs Scott Mills and Gaby Roslin stepping into her slot.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reported that Zoe has reportedly said goodbye to her Sussex countryside abode, which she snapped up for a cool £2 million back in August 2020.The TV and radio star is believed to have opted for a chic townhouse nestled between Brighton and Hove, conveniently close to her ex-husband DJ Norman Cook's place.
Woody, Zoe's son, recently shed some light on the situation, sharing with a reporter, "My mum and I like to keep our private lives to ourselves but I will say I have stepped up and spent a lot more time with her recently as she has always been there when I've had tough times.
