Zidane Iqbal had fans purring with his performance against Atalanta U19s in the UEFA Youth League after a scintillating display for United.
The 18-year-old pulled a goal back for the Reds as they brushed aside the Italians in a 4-2 victory at Leigh Sports Village with Iqbal scoring the first of three goals which came in a 10-minute salvo with Omari Forson adding a fourth in the second half..
He cut inside and passed the ball into the bottom corner for his third goal of the season in all competitions before Joe Hugill and Alejandro Garnacho sent the young Reds in 3-1 up at the break.
Forson put the game reasonably out of sight before a stunning individual effort from Tommaso De Nipoti scratched some of the glitter off the performance.
