Zendaya is clearing up THAT report she was the one who delayed production on Euphoria season 3. It’s nearly been three years now since season 2 of the HBO drama began airing, and it’s kind of been a mess since… From Angus Cloud’s sudden and tragic death in 2023, to Hunter Schafer and Dominic Fike’s messy breakup, to backlash against creator Sam Levinson, and even actors claiming to not be able to pay their rent because of production delays… A LOT has held up the highly-anticipated third season.

Back in July, a source close to Sam told The Hollywood Reporter that it was Zendaya who the filmmaker felt was “dragging her feet” on production of season 3 because of her booming career outside of the show.

On Wednesday, the 28-year-old was featured in Vanity Fair’s Hollywood issue, and she clarified any reports that SHE was the one holding up production: The fashion icon pointed to the fact that she had two major movie releases this year with Dune: Part Two and Challengers, but that she filmed both of them in 2022 — so she was open ALL of 2023 and 2024!

In fact, it’s been so long since she’s shot anything that she even feels a bit “rusty” to return to set for an unrelated upcoming project: HA!
