Zara McDermott has been flooded with support after she made an 'exciting announcement' in the wake of Sam Thompson seemingly confirming the couple's split.

Earlier this month, the former Love Island star appeared to be a bit emotional as she got back to work following the Christmas and new year break.

At the time, she revealed she's still hard at work on her next documentary which comes as fans of Zara will be aware that in recent years she has turned her attention to her work behind the camera as well as in front of it, presenting documentaries on a range of topics, including revenge porn, rape culture and eating disorders.

Zara, 28, took to social media last week and alongside a photo of herself sitting at a table with a camera, she wrote on Instagram: "First day back at work, doing what I love & am so grateful for." Now, while she's busy working on her next film, she revealed that she's already planning the next one.
