and they're mixed, at best.The film stars Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher as Debbie and Peter, two long-distance best friends whose dynamic changes when Peter volunteers to look after her teenage son (Wesley Kimmel, nephew of Jimmy Kimmel).The movie came under fire from fans who criticized their lack of chemistry on the red carpet - with Kutcher's own wife Mila Kunis even agreeing - and it seems that same lack of chemistry is present in the film itself.While the film doesn't have a Rotten Tomatoes score yet - with the first review embargo just lifting on Thursday afternoon - many of the early reviews took issue with Witherspoon and Kutcher's chemistry, or lack thereof.The New York Times critic Amy Nicholson began her review by stating that all of the main players involved - Witherspoon, Kutcher and writer-director Aline Brosh McKenna (writer of The Devil Wears Prada, making her directing debut) - all have made successful rom-coms in their career.
