Glenvale manager John Kelly was proud to see the club’s young prospects not only adapt to the senior game but to shine too. With a lack of numbers available for Saturday’s visit of BSC, the Paisley club were forced to call up youngsters Grant Jamieson, Ben Cairney, Stewart Perry, Reece Robertson and Jack Forrester from their Under-20’s team.
While the first half was poor, the youngsters grew into the match and ended up contributing to an excellent 4-2 victory, with Cairney getting on the scoresheet alongside Gav Naismith and Jamie Sidebotham, who bagged a brace.Kelly insists he’ll never be afraid to throw in the club’s talented youth players as they look to keep developing a pathway for them through to the senior game.Kelly told Express
