A young mother was found dead by her sister in an Ibiza Rocks Hotel room on the party island. Named locally as Amy Elizabeth Connor from Coleraine, Co Derry, she had been holidaying on Spanish island when tragedy stuck on Thursday.

Spanish police investigating the sudden death said Ms Connor's body was found around midday in her room in the Ibiza Rocks Hotel in the party resort of San Antonio.

It is believed her sister raised the alarm and police later confirmed the death but said they were unable to comment further, reports Belfast Live.

An autopsy was due to take place but police stated initial reports stated Ms Connor had exhibited no signs of having been subjected any violence.
