Young boy tragically dies at hotel after swimming pool accident

A young boy tragically died in a swimming pool at a hotel on May 29. It is believed that the child, aged six, got into difficulty while in the swimming pool.

The incident occurred at Tullamore Court Hotel, in County Offaly, Ireland, and is being treated as a tragic accident by police investigating the ordeal, Belfast Live reports.

A spokesperson said: "The child was taken to Children's Health Ireland at Crumlin where they later passed." They also confirmed that a file will be prepared for the Coroner's Court.A spokesperson for the Health and Safety Authority said it is aware of this incident and said all the necessary enquiries were being made.The Tullamore Court Hotel also released a statement in light of the accident and said it was with "great sadness" that they learned of the boy's passing.Its statement read: "We offer our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones at this difficult time.“The thoughts of all our team are with them.
