Harry Redknapp has said Mauricio Pochettino would jump at the chance to manage Manchester United if he was offered the job. United have an opening in their dugout after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday morning.
Solskjaer had failed to arrest a slide in form which saw the team fall to seventh in the Premier League and Saturday's 4-1 defeat to Watford was the final straw.
Hours after the Norwegian left the club, rumours began to circulate Pochettino was open to leaving his current club Paris Saint-Germain and take over at Old Trafford.
The MEN understands the former Tottenham Hotspur boss would be keen to join the club now instead of waiting until the summer.
