YFN Lucci has pleaded guilty in a racketeering case in court today (January 23), local news station WSBTV reports. The Atlanta rapper, real name Rayshawn Bennett, was sentenced to 10 years in prison but may only serve 3.5 months in jail, with the rest potentially being spent on probation.
Bennett was first arrested by police in Atlanta in December 2021 and has been in jail awaiting trial since the following month.
He was among a dozen suspects in a 105-count racketeering indictment centered around a local faction of the Bloods gang. The prosecution advised a 20-year sentence with 10 spent in prison. The terms of the plea deal meant that Bennett received credit for time served and, having been in jail for over three years awaiting trial, is approaching a point at which he will be available for parole.
