Eoin Toal put transfer talk to the back of his mind while his move to Bolton Wanderers was in the offing but he accepted the offer immediately when it was put to him.
The 23-year-old joined Wanderers this summer from League of Ireland side Derry City. He joined Wanderers for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal.
Wanderers had a first bid for the defender turned down before a second approach was accepted by the Candystripes. It led to Derry skipper Toal making the move to the Whites. It was something he tried to put to the back of his mind and was focused upon European football exploits for Derry. But when the call came from Wanderers, it was an offer Toal did not need to think about.
