Yellowstone prequel changes its title ahead of launch on Paramount Plus

London to preview their shows live on stage on Monday night ahead of the streaming service launching in the UK and Ireland. During the star-studded event, it was announced that the series will now be titled 1923, which, ‘will account for the end of World War 1 (1918) and the start of Prohibition (1920) both of which will be woven into the story. ’ Taylor Sheridan’s highly anticipated next instalment of the Yellowstone origin story will see Academy Award winner Dame Helen Mirren and Academy Award nominee Harrison Ford at the helm.

The drama will represent the next two generations of the Dutton family from Yellowstone, decades after they both starred together in 1986’s The Mosquito Coast.

1923 will follow the Duttons, ‘as they struggle to survive historic drought, lawlessness and prohibition, and an epidemic of cattle theft. ’And if that wasn’t enough, the family must also deal with ‘Montana’s great depression’ which happened several years before the Great Depression of 1929.
