Yellowstone is nowhere near an expiration date but that doesn’t mean co-creator/EP Taylor Sheridan doesn’t already know how his addictive drama should end. At a panel for the series at the Screen Actors Guild headquarters in Los Angeles Friday, star Wes Bentley (Jamie Dutton) acknowledged that Sheridan already has a series finale in mind for the popular Paramount Network drama.

Nicole Kidman is set as a lead alongside Zoe Saldaña and Laysla De Oliveira on Taylor Sheridan’s CIA drama series Lioness at Paramount+. Kidman already was attached as an executive producer on the series under her production company, Blossom Films.

Jamie Dutton shockingly announced he was moving to impeach his own father Governor John Dutton on Sunday night’s midseason finale of Yellowstone on the Paramount Network as part of his plan to take over as Governor of Montana himself.'I have called this emergency meeting of the Assembly to address an egregious act of dereliction,' Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley), as attorney general of the state, said. 'In canceling funding for the Paradise Valley regional airport and surrounding residential, commercial and mixed communities, Governor Dutton has violated state law and his sworn oath of office to act in the best interests of the state.'Jamie’s call for impeachment tribunal was swiftly voted on by the legislature after he explained that his father had robbed the state of billions of dollars of revenue and threatened the state with litigation and that those actions will have devastating consequences to our constituents.

Well, Paramount+ did tease splitting “Yellowstone” season five into two parts earlier this year. While they remained relatively quiet about it after that, true to their world, during this Sunday’s episode—which turned out to be the mid-season finale— Paramount Network revealed a teaser announcing the much-anticipated return of “Yellowstone” is slated for Summer 2023.
