The X Factor community is mourning the loss of a remarkable talent today after the death of Stephanie Ternent Reid aged just 36.The singer, known for her stunning performances that once captivated judges Cheryl Tweedy and Simon Cowell has passed away just days after her first wedding anniversary. The devoted mother of two - who made it through the show's Boot Camp stage and performed at Wembley Arena - tragically died after feeling unwell over the weekend.

Stephanie was a cherished member of staff at Hibernian Football Club as a match day receptionist and also shone through her own successful business Scent With Love.

Her musical passion led to numerous gigs across Edinburgh venues and live-streamed performances. Her time on The X Factor was cruelly cut short when producers admitted that too many acts had been put through to the show's Boot Camp stage and she was forced to leave the competition.

Tributes have been shared following the heartbreaking news of her death, including from Hibernian FC. However, none felt the loss more deeply than her mother Julie Reid, whose poignant social media post read: "My world came crashing down around me yesterday morning along with a shattered heart broken into a million pieces that can never be repaired." She added: "Heartbroken doesn't come close to how I feel since my beautiful precious soul of a girl gained her Angel wings so suddenly," reports Edinburgh Live. "Never ever did I think I would have to write a post like this. "My precious girl, mum doesn't know how to carry on without you but I will do my very best for your two beautiful babies and love and care for them just as you did with every bone in your body.
