X-Box boost for Ayrshire sick kids as Christmas hospital appeal breaks records

Kids in an Ayrshire hospital will have a unique opportunity to play some X-Box games this Christmas thanks to punters who dug deep for a special annual appeal.The highly successful annual fundraiser run by caring Kilwinning man Michael Kirkum for sick kids in Crosshouse Hospital has been given a huge boost thanks to a raffle run by the Alton Inn, which has raised enough to buy a new X-Box 1 console along with some console games.And a record number of 1000 selection boxes have been secured thanks to the generosity of local people.Michael said: “We have 1000 selection boxes, which is a record number and 150 colouring books and crayons and jigsaws.
