Drew McIntyre slayed ‘the Beast’ and became the first-ever Briton to win the WWE world heavyweight champion as he conquered Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
The Scot celebrated a historic win over the former UFC champion to conclude the landmark ‘Show of Shows’ in Tampa, Florida. McIntyre punched his ticket to main event back in January when he eliminated Lesnar before winning the Royal Rumble in Houston.
And, in a brutal rematch, he dethroned the Universal champion once again with his signature Claymore Kick finisher. But McIntyre was denied celebrating in front of a 80,000 fans as the match scheduled to take place at the Raymond James Stadium had to take place behind closed doors at WWE’s empty Performance Centre.
