Worsley Kenyon Way stabbing: Teenager in custody after man suffers 'life-changing' injuries

A teenager is in police custody this morning (Friday, March 24) following a stabbing in Worsley yesterday which left a man with life-changing injuries.

Witnesses at the scene spoke of the victim being chased down by three masked people before being attacked. Stop and search powers were put into action close to the scene in Little Hulton "to prevent serious violence and find weapons", police said early yesterday.

Greater Manchester Police said officers had been called at 5.30pm yesterday "to reports of a disturbance between a group of young men at Kenyon Way, Worsley, where a man was stabbed".

And they appealed for witnesses to the incident to come forward. Detectives are also keen to hear from anyone who has any footage of the stabbing.
