Women will spend half an hour a week on skin care for their face, but less than five minutes on the rest of their body. Research of 2,000 women revealed 76 per cent place the most importance on looking after their face.
Almost a fifth (17 per cent) spend more than 30 minutes a week on facial skin care, but just under five minutes on their legs (41 per cent) and arms (45 per cent).
More than a quarter (28 per cent) also spend at least £20 a month on beauty products for their face, compared with just seven per cent spending the same amount on skin care for their legs.
