New research shows that East Dunbartonshire officially has the biggest gender pay gap in Scotland, with men earning 30.6 per cent more than women in the area - over five times the Scotland average gap of 6.3 per cent.
The findings by accounting experts My Firm 360 used the latest Office for National Statistics(ONS) data on wages and gender pay disparity in every local authority to discover which areas of Scotland have the biggest gender pay gaps.
West Dunbartonshire has the second biggest gender pay gap in Scotland, with men earning 19.6 per cent more than women in the area - more than triple the average.
Orkney Islands ranks third with men raking in 18.8 per cent more than women. At the other end of the scale, women in East Renfrewshire earn 17.2 per cent more than men on average.
