Elizabeth Schneider caught COVID-19 at a house party hosted by her friend, but didn't know how serious it was to begin with.
Nobody at the small gathering was coughing or showing any signs of illness. But within three days, 40 per cent of the guests were sick - all suffering with symptoms associated with the virus including a high fever.
Writing on Facebook , Elizabeth, from Seattle, said: "The symptoms appear to be different depending on your constitution and/or age. "Most of my friends who got it were in their late 40s to early 50s.
