The body of a woman has been found in a river in Lancashire. The tragic discovery was made at the Crook O’Lune in Halton, near Lancaster after officers were called to the scene on December 14.
Police said the family of the woman - who has not been named - have been informed. In a statement released today (December 27), Lancashire Police said her death is not being treated as suspicious and and a file will be passed to the coroner. "Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed onto HM Coroner in due course. "The woman’s family have been made aware of the tragic news and our thoughts are with them at this distressing time."
