It's no secret that grocery prices have surged recently, with everyone seeking ways to cut down on their shopping expenses. Yet, one woman apparently bucked the trend by spending a whopping $3,000 (£2,454) to restock her fridge, but what raised eyebrows was how the bulk of her haul seemed to be beverages, sparking doubts about its longevity.
The video, shared by @asmrdazzz on TikTok, showcased such an abundance of drinks over food in her £2.5k shopping spree that it left viewers humorously questioning, "Mum, what's for dinner?" The sarcastic consensus seemed to be: "Diet Coke of course," a nod to the sheer volume of cans she stocked up on, raising concerns among many that the groceries wouldn't see out the week. But the inventory of thirst-quenchers didn't end there as more varieties of liquid delights began to fill another fridge. A diverse lineup including Fruit Shoots, Appletizers, Oranginas, 7ups, Coke Zeros, Original Cokes, Rios, bottles of Evian, Lucozades, orange and apple juice cartons, and J20s were squeezed into every corner of an additional refrigerator.
And still, the parade of branded fizzy drinks continued to flow into yet another cooling unit. The excessive soda collection triggered a mix of amusement and dismay in the comment section.
