A grandmother who deliberately mowed down her boyfriend with her Renault Clio car during a breakfast time bust-up has been freed after he forgave her and agreed to rekindle their stormy romance.
Janette Lines, 57, mounted a pavement and ploughed into the back of Gary Butterworth's legs after he stormed out of her home following a row over her son.
When a witness tried to intervene, Lines told her to 'f..k off' before berating Mr Butterworth as he lay injured at the roadside.
The victim was taken to hospital by Lines and a male relative and he was treated for cuts and bruising to his feet, toes and ankles.
