But what's the actual experience of living and working there during the depths of winter? TikTok user Carla Domènech, an avid traveller from Spain, took up the role of an activity guide at Santa's very own abode for four months in Lapland.

And now months into her new role, Carla revealed the nasty surprise she got – and one thing she dislikes about Lapland. She has adeptly adjusted to her freezing conditions and often shares snippets of her life in the Arctic chill across social media platforms.
