A woman had the surprise of her life after being told to dress up for a cinema date to watch Paddington with her partner. Wojciech Rosada, also known as Ste, told his girlfriend, Julia, to buy a dress and do her makeup as he would be "surprising her" on their two year anniversary, reported the Liverpool Echo.

Wojciech, 32, originally from Poland but lives in Kirkby, told Julia, 29, they were going to see a film at the Plaza Cinema in Waterloo.

But she was completely unaware that he had been working with staff at the Plaza to pull off a surprise engagement with a private screening.
