Officers received a report of concern for the welfare of a person at a property in Wigan Lower Road, in Standish Lower Ground, at about 3.15pm on Wednesday (March 24).
Emergency services attended and discovered the body of a woman. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, say Greater Manchester Police.
