mirror.co.ukA woman was discovered lying in a pool of blood after being savagely mauled to death by her own dogs. Lisa Urso, 52, died after being attacked by at least one of her beloved French Bulldogs at her home in Chicago, Illinois.
The incident came just weeks after one of the dogs, named Blue, had bitten her boyfriend resulting in it being taken away by animal control for monitoring.
A friend was horrified to discovery Ms Urso's body lying on the front porch of her home on Saturday, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The victim had reportedly tried to escape from the frenzied attack before collapsing outside. Lisa's injuries covered "a very large percentage of her body" and her clothes were torn off, according to Lake County Coroner Dr Howard Cooper.
