Woman dies following horror smash in Rochdale

The woman, 78, and a man, 81, were in a silver Proton Savvy which hit a tree, police said. Emergency services rushed to Kingsway Retail Park just before 1pm on Friday (September 10). McDonald's on Kingsway was cordoned off following the incident. An air ambulance; two rapid response vehicles; a road ambulance; and an advanced paramedic attended.
