Woman dead after fire rips through block of flats in Forfar

Fire officers put out the inferno but soon after a 28-year-old woman was found dead inside the flat.Police told the Record her next of kin are aware.No other casualties have been reported.The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.A probe is now underway and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.A Police Scotland spokesman told the Record: "At around 3.05pm on Saturday, September 2 police were called to a report of a fire at a property in South Street in Forfar.“The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) attended and extinguished the fire but sadly the body of a 28-year-old.
