A woman claims that she felt that she was 'taken for a mug' after buying a homeless person food. The commuter thought they were being nice after the woman asked for spare change but they soon ended up regretting it, reports MyLondon.

She took to social media to share how she felt her act of kindness was quickly thrown back into her face. Posting on Reddit, the passenger at Victoria Station in London claims that the homeless person had initially asked for cash but she opted to gift her food instead.

The commuter said: “I was in Victoria train station and a homeless lady goes up to me and asks for change, giving me the sob story about how she’s sleeping in her car tonight.

I don’t know why but I felt bad and said although I don’t have change I’d be happy to buy her something to eat. "However, the woman soon ended up rueing her decision when the homeless person chose her desired food.
