A woman has been charged with the attempted murder of a 20-year-old man at Handforth train station last week. Officers were called to the scene, on Station Road, last Tuesday evening (July 26).
Emergency services attended at around 7pm following a concern for the welfare of two people. A 53-year-old woman was then arrested by cops at the station and appeared at court on Thursday (July 28).
She has since been remanded in custody until her next appearance. The young man did not sustain any injuries in the incident but police are still appealing for anyone with information to come forward as their investigations continue.
