Woman, 38, dies after being hit by G-Wagon car in Manchester

A woman has died after being hit by a car in east Manchester. Emergency services were called to the scene of the horror crash on Alan Turing Way, at the junction with Ashton Old Road, just after 9pm last night (Monday).

A blue Mercedes G63 - or 'G-Wagon' - collided with a pedestrian, police said. A 38-year-old woman was taken to hospital from the scene but she sadly died a short time later. Police cordoned off a large section of Alan Turing Way after the crash last night. Several police vehicles were stationed at the scene as well as a number of ambulance vehicles.
