'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place' Showrunners Address Returns of Max & Theresa, Lack of Original Characters On New Show

The first nine episodes of the new continuation of Wizards of Waverly Place are currently available to stream on Disney+, but fans have been wondering where the rest of the Russos are. David Henrie stars in the new show as Justin Russo, while Selena Gomez and David DeLuise both make singular appearances as Alex and Jerry, respectively.
While Jake T Austin previously said he was going to be on the show, returning as Max Russo, and Maria Canals-Barrera, aka Theresa Russo, reunited with the Davids and Selena, neither were in any of the first episodes.
